At our farm you have 3 options for your stay.

1.Come sleep, eat breakfast, and go on your way.

2.Come partake of farm life, feed animals, do chores, eat, sleep, and relax.

3.Come join life on the farm, feed animals, do chores, learn a new/old skill to become more self sufficient, eat, sleep, and relax.

In our house we have 4 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 12 adults. Reservations can be made by calling (717) 485-9314 and guaranteed by using a credit card. Rates start at $49.99 and go up, according to the options you choose. Cancellations must be made 48 hours prior to your arrival. We welcome children, pets must be cleared ahead, no alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs, and we do have designated smoking areas.

Our farm management is based on sustainable agriculture. No chemicals are used, we are a natural producing farm, no large farm equipment. If it's costly we take a long hard look before we do it.

Some basic skills available are horsemanship, blacksmithing, welding, carpentry, sawmilling, timbering, animal husbandry, gardening, canning, freezing, chair caning, spinning, weaving, electrical, conservation, teamster/draft horse skills, sewing, herbal uses, etc. If you have an interest not listed just ask!

To relax you can trail ride, take a horse drawn wagon ride, sleigh ride, go hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, picnicking, birdwatching, fishing, study wildlife, or nap on the porch. Enjoy nearby historic sites and recreational areas or just relax and watch the cattle and horses graze.

Special occasions do occur throughout the year. These include a charity benefit trail ride with bluegrass music, horse shows, cattle roundups, festivals (i.e. strawberry festival, fall folk and foliage festival, fireworks festival, Labor Day bash, Christmas in Our Community, County Fairs, etc.) and other events. (Call ahead to check on dates).
